The Chrome Cobra
Inspired by the superformance redubs and the desire to make a wildly American theme, the Chrome Cobra was the resulting brain child of that adventure.
Take it to heart
This project would be my first foray into 3D printing my own parts for a build. This began in the powerplant. The billet Coyote motor was sourced from MCS design. I decided a nod to the original 427 cobras was in order so the ITB option was selected for the intake. A sequential finished it off.
Outback
In the opening trunk, a custom fuel cell was added and plumbed. To add some kick to the N/A powertrain so a set of 200 shot bottles were added.
Inside-Out
With the interior being on full display, extra care was taken to fully incorporate the two themes of the build together. The dashboard got a brushed aluminum appearance and chrome bezzeled gauges. The seats were custom bomber buckets with Ford Engine Blue upholstery while the steering wheel got the American flag theme.
down under
The American flag theme carried onto the Cobra’s belly. Splash Paints candy colors were sprayed over a Sparkling Silver base. I attempted to make the flag look like it was blowing in the wind with minimal success. Points to improve.
